With very efficient cargo transport and an ever increasing population we tend to think that it is a great thing to be eating out of season crops from other parts of the world. What we fail to see is that the fruit and crops grown in our very own back yard will be fresh, in season and highly nutritious. Not only the plants that are grown for selling but most of all the wild edible plants known as ‘weeds’. These thrive where they grow and for that reason will be packed full of nutrients and vitamins.
